Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand)

Introduction to Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand)

Pincha Mayurasana, commonly known as the Forearm Stand, is an advanced yoga inversion that combines strength, balance, and concentration. In this pose, the body is lifted upside down while balancing on the forearms, making it an excellent practice for developing upper-body power and core stability. It challenges both the body and mind, encouraging focus, patience, and confidence with every practice.

Regular practice of Pincha Mayurasana helps strengthen the shoulders, arms, back, and abdominal muscles while improving posture, coordination, and overall body awareness. As an inversion, it also promotes healthy circulation and helps calm the mind when performed with proper breathing. Beginners are encouraged to practice with wall support and gradually build the strength and control needed to balance independently. With consistent practice and proper alignment, Pincha Mayurasana becomes a rewarding pose that enhances both physical stability and mental resilience
